Biobank Browser provides independently curated information about population biobanks for research planning purposes. All scoring, rankings, and assessments are based on publicly available information and independent analysis by Ignition Scientific.
You may create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Accounts are for individual use unless you hold an Enterprise licence. Sharing credentials or access with others is prohibited.
Biobank Browser offers Free, Academic, Industry, and Enterprise plans. Academic pricing is exclusively available to researchers at accredited universities, academic medical centres, and registered non-profit research organisations, verified by institutional email domain. Use of academic pricing by commercial organisations is a violation of these terms and may result in billing adjustment or account termination.
Paid subscriptions are billed annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial periods.
You may not: share your account credentials; systematically scrape, download, or redistribute Biobank Browser data beyond the provided export features; use automated tools to access the service; or resell access to Biobank Browser content.
Biobank Browser data is compiled from public sources and independent research. While we strive for accuracy, biobank capabilities change over time. Biobank Browser is an informational resource, not a substitute for direct engagement with biobank access offices. Ignition Scientific is not liable for decisions made based on Biobank Browser data.
We collect your email address for authentication and billing. Login metadata (IP address, approximate location) is recorded for security purposes. We do not sell personal data. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
Enterprise licences provide access for all users at a specified email domain. Terms, pricing, and scope are agreed individually. Enterprise users are subject to these terms unless superseded by a separate agreement.
We may update these terms with notice via email or on-site notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
